How do I book for my wedding?

You can start by filling out our wedding inquiries form to make sure we are available for your date and time. (click below). 

We recommend booking 8 months in advanced, however our books are open for up to 18 months in advanced.

To reserve your wedding date and time we require a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer of your entire wedding day services. The final balance total is due 1 week prior to your wedding date. If your wedding is less than 2 weeks away at time of booking, 100% of payment is due. 

Your date is not secured with Hair and Makeup by Lulu until your contract and retainer have been received, even if you have had a trial run.

Do you offer trials?

Yes and Yes! We feel makeup and hairstyling is so personal, it must be personalized to each client's specific style and facial features. We require a trial run for bridal services.  This is the best time for us to get to know each other, and for us to fully grasp your needs as a Bride. We use this time to give you a taste of our artistry style, while getting to know you, your preferences and any ideas you may have. We like to test different products, colors, and styles on you and make adjustments together so that your hair and makeup is exactly what you are looking for on your big day! Your word is very important to us.


Trial runs are not offered free of charge and are only offered Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm because we primarily book weddings on weekend dates. To see our bridal packages click here.


PLEASE NOTE: We reserve first come, first serve. We recommend scheduling your trial run after booking with us. We do not hold wedding dates if we do not have your contract AND retainer payment received. Please keep this in mind If you decide to do a trial run prior to booking your wedding day.


I’m having a destination wedding and won’t come in early enough for a trial, what can I do?

If you have a destination wedding we have options for you.  If you will be coming in the week of wedding, we can schedule your trial session sometime during the week you’re here or even the day before your wedding. If you will not be coming in early enough for a trial session at all, we have prepared a Destination Wedding Day Package for  you. Click here to view.  In this package we have included extra time to replace a trial session and be able to make adjustments to achieve your desired hair and makeup look for your wedding day.

When and where do trials take place? And how long do they take?

Trial sessions take place at Tangles Hair Salon, located at 5925 McArdle Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78412. Traveling to you for a trial is currently not an option, we apologize for any inconvenience. We like to schedule a trial around 3 months in advanced. A makeup trial session takes between 1.5- 2 hours and a Hairstyling trial session takes about an hour if no hair extensions will be used. We recommend booking both hair and makeup trials at the same time so you can get a feel of how you will look. Trial sessions are available Tuesday through Friday only from 9:00am-5:00pm.

How do I prepare for my bridal trial session?

When you book with us we will send you helpful infographics before your trial session date and before wedding day to help you prep hair and makeup for the day of. Here's a few ideas: bring pictures of your favorite hairstyle/makeup looks. We highly recommend looking at inspiration photos with you hair type, hair texture and color, the same applies with makeup pictures. If you have dark hair don't go for pictures with hairstyles of models that have lighter/blonde hair, as hairstyles on brunettes don't look the same.


Bridal Hairstyling

Make sure your hair is clean and dry. Do not use any hot tools such as a flat or curling iron. Do not use any hair products such as mousse, gel, spray, or oils. Make sure to bring your veil and any bridal hair accessories you plan on using. If possible wear a white or ivory shirt to mimic your dress. This will give you a better idea of how you will look on wedding day. If you’re planning to wear hair extensions on wedding day make sure you set up a consultation with us prior to your trial session, during this time we can guide you into buying the right hair extensions, amount of hair needed, color, etc. If you already own some please be sure to still set up a consultation before your trial session.

Bridal Makeup

Make sure to come in without makeup on for your trial session. If you have any hair above your lip, or excess hair on your face or brows, it might show with your makeup application. 

 To have maximum results with your makeup application it is important to come in with a clean face that is hair free. You can schedule an appointment prior to your trial session.

Do I have to bring my own foundation?

You do not need to bring your own foundation as we provide everything we need for a makeup application. If there is a foundation you absolutely love or have sensitive skin and would like to use your own, you are welcome to bring it along.

Do you offer traditional or airbrushed makeup?

We offer traditional makeup only. Traditional makeup is applied by hand tools such as a brush, or sponge and it can be worked into the skin for an even finish. The coverage of traditional makeup can range from a natural dewy glow to a matte heavy/full coverage based on the formula.

Do you travel?

For Friday & Saturday weddings we offer on-location services for bridal parties of 4 or more, per service booked (hair or makeup). Weekday weddings do not require a minimum. Travel fees are determined by getting ready location.

What is your method of payment?

Our only method of payment accepted is debit/credit card via your invoice. Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover cards are accepted.

Do you require a deposit? How much and when is the total amount due?

Yes, to book we require 50% of your entire wedding services, the remaining balance is due a week before your wedding day. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Do you accept different payments from bridesmaids?

No. As the bride you pay all deposits and final balances, and it is your responsibility to collect payments from your bridal party. For gratuity, we can accept cash or zelle payments.

How do I pay my deposit, and how do I pay on wedding day?

When you're ready to book I will send a link to to your phone/email where you will be able to pay online. Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover cards are accepted.  You can also use Apple Pay or Google Pay. Remaining balance can be payed the same way with the same link.

How far in advance is the best time to book?

We recommend booking as soon as you have a wedding date/time and know how many ladies will be needing hair/makeup services. As opposed to salon appointments who book weeks in advanced, Bridal makeup artists book up months, sometimes a year in advance. Our books are open for up to 18 months in advance. 

Im I ready to submit for a quote?

It’s important that you know the exact date and time of your wedding day as well as the exact number of people in your bridal party who will be needing hair and makeup services. Without this information, we don’t know when to have your hair and makeup ready by or if we are available during the time frame you need us. Once you know these details you’re ready to inquire for hair and makeup services. If you’re engaged but you do not have these details yet, don’t worry! In the meantime you can browse through our website and social media to get to know us better! Also take a look at our portfolio and share our prices with your bridal party to see who else would love to be pampered on wedding day. What is your cancellation policy?

Wedding Cancellations must be made 4 weeks prior to your reserved date or you will be responsible for the total amount of services agreed. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If I cancel, can I get my deposit back?

No. If you choose to cancel your wedding entirely (whether due to personal choice or COVID-19) Depending on the timing, you may be released from any final payment, but the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable in a cancellation. This is due to the fact that we put in a significant amount of time in communicating with you leading up to your wedding day, we also reserved services for your wedding day and turned down other weddings/bookings.

What happens to my deposit/final payment if I have to postpone my wedding?

We can move your wedding date if the reason is due to COVID-19 Government mandates shut down only. Moving dates for any other reason is not acceptable. In the event this happens, we can transfer the initial deposit to a new date without additional cost or penalty. The final payment amount would be transferred to a timeline that fits the new date. If we are not available for your new wedding date deposits will not be refundable as we have held your original date and turned down other weddings.

Do you offer discounts for big bridal parties?

We do not discount based on bulk. We discount through offering hair and makeup as a package and also don’t charge extra for a-la-carte items like false lashes.

Do you provide a bridal touch-up kit?

Absolutely! A bridal touch-up kit is essential and every bride should have one on her wedding day! I will provide you with the must-haves to keep you looking flawless all day!
