A bridal preview or as many people know it by a trial, is an in depth consultation & in-person preview of your wedding day look. Opposed to what many people believe, a trial is not to “try out an artist”  but instead it is to preview your bridal look before wedding day. This is the perfect time to get to know your artist, discuss your makeup goals, talk logistics, personalize, and create a look just for you based on your likes and needs as a bride. By having a bridal preview/trial you will have an idea on how you will look on wedding day and you will feel calm, relieved, and most importantly confident that you will look and feel your best!

Yes, for all local brides. The only exception is for Destination Brides who are having a relaxed beach wedding and live too far away to do a trial before wedding day.

Think of it this way, just like you wouldn’t get married without trying your dress on only once, the same goes for hair and makeup, you don’t want to try it only once and much less on your wedding day. A trial session is a form of insurance not only for you, as the bride, but also the artist. We feel bridal makeup and hairstyling needs to be personalized to each bride’s specific style and facial features. This is the best time for us to get to know each other, and for me to fully grasp your needs as a Bride. During the trial session we can create a look together, talk logistics and create a plan to achieve your goals.

Absolutely!, but please keep in mind that due to the demand of our services, we receive several inquiries and often for the same dates. We do not hold wedding dates without a signed contract and retainer. If you would like to do a trial before booking we recommend scheduling it as soon as possible. If you decide to schedule a trial in a week-month from now you risk loosing your wedding day to someone who is ready to book now.

We receive several inquiries and often for the same dates. That means that while we don’t want to rush your decision, we will NOT hold your wedding date without a signed contract and retainer. If another bride inquires for the same wedding day it will be offered as it is open for booking.

Trials take place at Tangles Hair Salon, located at 5925 McArdle Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78412.

We set aside 2 hours per service, a total of 4 hours for both hair and makeup.

It includes an in depth consultation & in-person preview of your wedding day look. At this time we will get to know each other and discuss your makeup goals, talk logistics, personalize, and create a look just for you based on your likes and needs as a bride.

Hairstyling: Hairstyle of your choice, hair padding for fullness in updos (if needed), custom face framing trimming (if desired), temporary color touch-up for fullness or gray coverage (if needed), hair accessory and veil placement.

Skin Prep: personalized skin prep using products according to your skin type, such as dry, oily, combination, or mature skin. Color correcting for redness, dark circles, purple veins, acne.

Makeup: Long wearing traditional makeup using luxury products, primer, foundation, concealer, under eye highlighting, setting powder, contouring to enhance features, shimmer highlight, blush, lips, eyebrow enhancement, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lashes (different styles will be offered).

Yes, you may bring 1 additional guest with you for your trial appointment.  While it may seem like a good idea to bring a bunch of people, take it from me when I tell you that too many opinions can make the process much more stressful and confusing than it needs to be.  You should make the decision on how you want to look based on what makes YOU feel beautiful, not what other people think makes you beautiful.  This is your day, and your body.  Your opinion is the one I listen to.

Absolutely.  We service a lot of out of state brides coming home for their wedding, and I’m happy to fit your trial in around when you’ll be here.  Please message me your exact needs so that we can work a trial date that fits your schedule.

It’s super easy! I will send you a link online where you can select a date and time from my open appointments, and that’s it!  No back and forth emails to schedule, Just a few clicks, and you’re done.

• For hairstyling we can do up to 2 looks within our 2 hour appointment time. 
•  
• We can only do 1 hairstyle look if:
• 1. You want to use your trial for your bridal portraits.
• 2. You are adding hair extensions for your style.
•  
• We can do 2 hairstyle looks if:
• 1. You can’t decide between halfup + updo AND are NOT doing any photos/events on trial date.
• 2. You will not be adding extensions to hairstyle.

If you would like more time to keep making adjustments after the 4 hour mark, you will need to schedule another appointment on a separate date & time at an additional cost.

If you’d like a second trial you can schedule one on a different date & time at a reduced rate of $150 per service.
